Before the Second Flux, Karl Karman was an ARC-hired scientist who worked on hundreds if not thousands of projects for the Elders of Solaris. During the times closer to the Second Flux, Grey began hiring Karl to do independent work for his own evil schemes. One of his most famous and devastating projects was the isolation of a mind-controlling specter named Yal’ren who was very destructive to the enemies of Grey, until he was successfully neutralized.
Immediately before the Second Flux, Karl was offered sanctuary by Grey which he was unable to refuse. Grey, Karl, and a number of other henchmen were able to survive the Second Flux by using a unknown devise or fashion, quite possibly invented by Karl himself. Karl is now the head scientist, and possibly the right-hand man of Grey at this point. He rests hidden in the unrivaled safety of the Solaris City Ruins, scheming and inventing in however much of the city laboratories Grey and his men were able to save. It may be true that the infallible cloaking of the assassins is due to his expertise. What devious devise could he think up next? |
