Node, originally known as Terrek, is one of the Hunters designed by Krauser Killener, Karl Karman, and Grey Fenrir before the Second Flux occurred. This was a time when the Brotherhood of Anguish was only a thought in the back of Grey’s mind and Krauser still worked alongside him in the Elder Council of Arc.
Node seems to be the most reliable of the four Hunters, and at present he is the toughest of the bunch. He tends to act as leader of the pack when the four are out. Even though he now takes orders from Grey and the Brotherhood, he still seems to hold loyalty to Krauser at times. Just before the Second Flux Node was near fatally wounded and Krauser literally rebuilt his body. He is now more machine than creature of flesh and blood. As a mechanically enhanced organism, Node is capable of much more than the biological Hunters. He doesn’t require a hibernation chamber, or feeding tubes, he runs off an internal Ciedenium Cell located under his chest plate. He doesn’t require a recharge and maintains his own system malfunctions or other damages when they occur. His memory is enhanced with a database of knowledge from the old Solaris City Headquarters. He’s stronger, faster, and tougher than the other three Hunters as well. Even though Node is mechanical, as well a creation of science and experimentation, he seems to be the only member of the Hunters with even a hint of compassion. It would seem some parts of his wild predatory instincts were lost when he was wounded and lost so much of his biological side. Or perhaps Krauser reprogrammed him somehow. He is still a killer for hire though, and currently sides with the Brotherhood for unknown reasons. Most warriors know to steer clear of the Hunters, but Node doesn’t come off nearly as threatening as the others even being much more powerful. He seems to have hidden potential as well as something to hide in his position on the Brotherhood’s side. |
