The Great Wars (1996-2003)
Solaris RPG began during a time shortly after the end of The Great Wars. In this original storyline Solaris was called a "forsaken wasteland" because of how desolate the world was after the wars ended. There were a collection of knights during this time that stole the main focus. This was a time of death and quick endings for many characters. The player base of the time was focused solely on doing battle and the story was always changing. On another note, a key focus of this time was a group of Elders that seemed to linger in the shadows never revealing their names but influencing the world at the right times to keep things moving. Beyond the mysterious Elders, another primary focus was the ancient times of Solaris and what the Ancients of long ago had done to start such tragic events as The Great Wars and other world changing cataclysms. The first big change in the storyline was what we like to refer to around here as the Android Saga.
Android Saga (1999-2002)
During the Android Saga a group of killer androids from an alternate future about eighty years from the current standpoint came back and ran amuck on the citizens and warriors of Solaris RPG. The first four evil androids pretty much decimated the character base of the time and after a series of events occurred another pair of androids came back and saved the day. One of those androids was Vincent, who stayed with the warriors throughout the next few storylines and helped them along the way. After everything settled down and the dust cleared things returned to normal for only a short while and while not an "official" storyline, the Dark Vander Saga took place.Dark Vander Saga (2001-2002)
This storyline began with a character named Vander who eventually turned evil and wiped out a large section of the character base at the time. This wasn't an official storyline, but was so memorable that it remains burned into the memories of the players who are still around from the time. The player behind the character known as Dark Vander wreaked havoc on the world of Solaris at the time and disappeared. There were some official storylines after this saga, but none compared to the lasting effect Dark Vander had on the world of the time.
The Second Flux (2003-2011)
Like the original story of Solaris RPG, The Second Flux storyline was a long one. This storyline triggered a series of events that destroyed the capital city known as Solaris City, changed the layout of planet Solaris completely, and sent the character base nearly 10,000 years into the future. The Second Flux was like a new beginning for the game and for awhile it seemed to keep things rolling with many secondary storylines rolling along at the same time. It all eventually tied together with an angry race of evolved Western Solarians returning to planet Solaris after having fled during the beginning of The Second Flux and disappearing for 10,000 years, which leads into the next two parts of the storyline.
Wrath of the Neolarions (2009-2010)
Wrath of the Neolarions nearly finished off the storyline of The Second Flux by destroying the future Planet Solaris and leaving no alternative for the current character base to go but back into the past. The characters left everything they knew, including the Neolarions, in the apocalyptic future and wound up traveling back in time nearly 30,000 years. This placed them in a time far before the Neolarions arrived, before The Second Flux ever occurred, and even further back into the history of Solaris than the original game (The Great Wars) had even begun. This was an unprecedented event, but an integral part in reshaping the entire world of Solaris. This led the character base into what was known simply as The Undoing. The Undoing (2010-2011)
This very brief storyline was brought about to symbolize the complete reversal of everything that had happened in the game since its beginning and even further. Not only did the characters return to a time before the original story of Solaris RPG, but before even the pre-story of the beginning. This was to give the current players the ability to influence an entirely new future, maybe even filling in some gaps along the way. In many ways, the characters who traveled back in time are the very Ancients they had once only heard stories of in the previous storylines. This in turn gave of the title of our next big storyline, Age of the Ancients.
Age of the Ancients (2011-Present)
After resetting the game world entirely and establishing a new setting, the setting of Solaris RPG now revolves around the current characters of Solaris RPG and how they will influence the world and future events. The world is nearly a clean slate now, and is ready to be molded into something new. Only very key figures in Solaris RPG will remain the same at this point, as everything else is an open book. It's up to the players to decide what happens from here...
